First Aid Kit bildades av systrarna Johanna och Klara Söderberg 2007. Gruppen skivdebuterade med EP:n Drunken Trees 2008. Sedan dess har de släppt fyra fullängdsalbum och ett antal singlar.
I början av karriären var det amerikanska bandet Bright Eyes en stor inspirationskälla. Det stora genombrottet kom med albumet The Lion’s Roar som kom 2012. Här hör ni dem med låten Emmylou som är hämtad från den plattan.
